You can switch to 12/12 at any time, it's all about preference and how much space you have. I only veg my plants for a week or two in 2.5x2.5 tents, any longer and they will outgrow my space. In a 3x3 tent you can go a little longer but remember plants can stretch 2 to 3 times in height during the first 3 weeks of flower.

As for transplanting it's hard to tell without pictures. You can also transplant at any time but if the plant is too small it will be stressed more and take longer to recover.

When to transplanting isn't really that big of a deal. Use your best educated guess when you think the girls are using up all of the pot.

However, though depending on when you plan to flower, with 3 gallon pots you can usually go until around 40-60 days depending on individual growth rate. It's always wise to transplant around 10 days before switching cycles anyways so keep that in mind.

One thing to keep an eye on though is growth rate. If you don't see much growth, or very slow growth, check the roots after watering and see how things are going. This can be a sign that the plant is running out of root space (among other things as well but if she's healthy this is most likely the case.) Don't make a habit out of this though, once is fine and the second time should be to transplant.

looking good! cannabis likes the soil to be dry, but not too dry so be careful. have you fed at all?

i would veg for another week or two if youre asking for opinions. its really up to you. expect them to grow almost double their size if conditions are good.

they should be drinking a decent amount by now, they should get like 1/4 of a gallon of water every day or every other day

I'm wondering if I should transplant also. I put my girls in 1.5 gal containers on Jan20, I thought I was going to get a month in them but my roots are already spiraling around the main drainage hole. I'm not flipping to 12/12 till around march 1st. Wanted to transplant into bigger containers closer to flower but guess I'll do it sooner rather than later.

yea I been giving them full strength nutes I was thinking bout vegging till the 17th but then like you said they do double to triple in size I fed em yesterday they dam near took a 1/4 gallon

they dont need a lot of nutes, you should only feed once, maybe twice in veg, and then two or three times in flower if youre running soil.

i feed 0 in veg and about three in flower

it doesnt burn your roots or cause a lockout? it will eventually..even with organics.

chemical nutes suggest every 3-4 weeks.

organic nutes suggest every 8-10 weeks.

then they have those new unnecessary feeding schedule ones that just make you waste your money becuase they sell you watered down product. get a real concentration feed, not a 10 part .0000000001 feed.

Sorry, but you should never water everyday. In a one gallon pot, 1/4 of water could be used every 4-5 days. Depending on how fast the soil drys out.

You really shouldn't water more than twice a week. Even at the end of flowering, If they are in the proper size pot, you can water twice a week.
