soo i'm 4 3/4 weeks into veg.

a question about Cal/Mag and ppm

my ppm's are at like 50 with R/O water.

my question is this..when do i add the cal mag,and take a ppm reading.

the Cal/Mag raises the ppm's quite a bit.

i just dont know when to get a proper reading for the plant's needs...anyway here are some pics.

Of course the Ca/Mg increases your ppms.. They're salts too man. Account for the difference, add it to plain water and note how much it increases the ppm, then add that on to your normal schedule.

gotchya..thats kinda what ive been doing.

say its been like 4 hrs since my last pics,and the leaves seem to look kinda droopy.

i did a rez change since i noticed it..has been 8 days since my last rez change.

any idea as to why their drooping?

Monday will be the start of week 5..i put in the HPS last night for lights on today..starting 12/12..because i see a preflower,but am unsure as to what it is..i may have to wait a bit to be sure.

now here's the preflower pic..can anyone tell me if its male or female..i'm going to wait to be sure,but would kinda like to know what to expect.

i have one question,but first some pics.

check out this massive stem.

now for the question..i'm only 3 days into flower and the only additives/nutes i'm using are GH Flora Nova Grow/Bloom,Cal/Mag,Bud Candy,and Final Phase during final flush...when do i start the Bud Candy additive?..it says weeks 1 thru 6 on the bottle,but i cant see it doing anything this early in the flowering stage.

6 days into flowering..is this a male?..its the same plant as the earlier preflower pic.

this bush sure don't look like a male to me..all the males ive had were lanky and waay less leaves,but this is my first DWC grow.

BTW your fan leaves are huge, that leaf looks like it belongs on a tree like 10 ft tall.. hahaha

yea those fan leaves are HUGE!..this plant is very tight all around..which makes me think its a girl,but those 3 ball sacks sure don't look promising..ugh

Yep I feel ya man.. I just killed my two males not even a month ago and I still feel for them. Feminized seeds brutha!

ok so what will happen in a few days..pistils coming out of those sacks?..damn..well i have a few young sprouts in soil that i can transplant into this bucket..i just may do that tonight..i guess we can all agree that its a dude

ok so i'm gonna eat some supper and then chop that dude down,and transplant another..the plant on the left was transplanted from soil..only took a few days and then it took off.
