I like guns, but I'm more of a hand gun guy. Give me my Sig 9 and SW .45 and I'm a happy man.

Dude you have to have a "zombie" killer, for cqb my weapon of choice is my berreta 96 brigadier, for "zombies" i would go with my AK-47 or saiga 12.
I would love one, but have spent enough money on guns and WAY more than enough on ammo. Shit's frickin' expensive. Going to the range to shoot (I don't have any country property) costs at least $50 alone. I need to learn to pack my own ammo, but supposedly it voids the warranty (as if they'd be able to tell).

All I shoot are reloads and they are about 50% less than Winchester White Box crap... I buy them from a professional reloader, if you get good reloads there's no way the manufacturer can tell the difference.

My babies

My wife's zombie killer (Custom Lower and a Wilson Combat Upper it shoots REALLY well. 1000 yard 1" grouping with irons at bench rest.

Very nice, I have been saving for an AR-10 style weapon. What distances do you shoot with the .308? Thanks for pics!
I've gotten 300Y accurately from the bench with the .308 with a Leupold scop I borrowed. It's ADVERTISED as being able to shoot up to 800M accurately but I don't have a range that long anywhere near me. 300Y is the longest range I've got ...

The good.. It's pure power to shoot it.
The bad....It weights a fucking ton. In 3 gun, 3 mags of 308, 20 12g shells, and 10 mags of .45 for the run and gun and I weight a ton!

yeah dude for a very good affordable scope i would reccomend any from the bushnell elite models, i have a bushnell elite 3200 on my remington 700 and have shot up to 700 yards with it. I have never used but heard great things on the "super sniper scopes"

I'm getting a nice pay raise in a month or two and the first thing I'm buying (besides a washer and dryer) is another gun. I can't afford a zombie killer, but want something that's fun to shoot. Suggestions?

And Toker, how do you find your professional reloader. If I knew someone, I would certainly go that route - esp. for the .45 or my cheap ass Taurus .38.

Hang out with IPSC or IDPA shooters. They know all the local people in the trade. I found my guy from the manager of the shooting range, (they sell his ammo there.)

IPSC and IDPA guys often do their own reloading, some of them will load ammo for you for a small fee.

As far as a 'fun' gun to shoot that really depends on you. Go to a range that rents guns out and shoot through a bunch. My favorite to shoot is a full size modern 1911. Some people only find a .22 fun to shoot, so it really depends.

Beautiful - thanks. BTW, the best gun show I've been to in a long while was in Michigan - at Gibralter trade center in Taylor, MI. Great place to get unregistered firearms.
