You know, the worst part of the answer to the thread question is the fact that we're losing these veteran growers to jackasses who wanna come on here and trumpet any line of bullshit they can think to spew while the mods drop a hammer on the vets for giving the idiots a piece of their mind.

I came on this site to learn how to grow, not watch mods eat chips and giggle their way through every flame war that breaks out cause they are too immature to step in and say Enough. It's pathetic, actually. So much information on this site and you can barely get to anything that isn't in a sticky because questions get turned into debates by assholes that the mods refuse to touch.

How many times do people have to break the rules, mods? How many flame wars before you start doing your job? How much lost membership before you have to take the "active members" category out of the listing because it's just too embarrassing. Hell, it's embarrassing now... 300,000 people and you can only keep 20,000 coming back enough to be considered "active"?

It's no wonder the vets are jumping ship, and rightly so. If this crap keeps up, I won't be far behind them. Screw the new generation. Most of those kids are the reason for the plethora of misinformation that is out there now. I want to be where the knowledge is, not the assholes.

Yup,, but it's by invitation only (or at least was) type thing.
Sort of like a club where you need to be sponsored before joining.
We do have some of the better folks of RIU that came along.
No hate, derogatory shit, upsmanship, and the "Prove it with documentaion from science" crap.
While there is documentation on some,, mostly show & tell sort of stuff.
We don't mind posting links to information that maybe helpful to others (not like here) even if it's another forum site like here. You'll not be chastized for trying things outside the norm.
Really turning into a very nice club type thing.
We strive to keep it that way and is why it's "invitational".
You don't need experience,, Phds., and such. Just someone that's "in" and thinks you've the right attitude.
The right attitude is respect, coutesy, and friendly.
I'm here now just to watch 1 last thread finish. And in the meantime remember why I'm all but gone.
Meet a lot of nice folks on RIU,, and most are there. I've a few to pick up when the time comes, then gone.

It simply is what it is. New is great... but the Punk / Hateful / immature attitudes are more than we simply choose to participate in.

Yes but it is a catch-22, I have been personally informed by FDD that recruiting members for another web site is a ban-able offense. PM FDD he might be kind enough to share it with you.

As for Brick Top, he got banned for cause (epic thread that got locked... of course). If he chooses to come back here it is up to him, but for now it looks like he is cool and the gang, hanging on riddlem3's front porch, taking in the mountain air.

The reason why everyone is leaving, including me is that fdd2blk the power tripping moderator of RIU that is single handily trying to ruin this site (and succeeding) is allowed to do anything he wants without repercussion from RIU's management.

He is doing this by banning well known pillars of this community and allowing degenerate "trolls" to overtake this site by giving them amnesty.

Even if management does do something today, it will be too late. The "old dogs" have created their own sites and many have already migrated over there, but you already knew this.

The only problem is, so many have created so many different sites, all it did was split us up.

Thanks for the input. As I've mentioned before, I've lost the ability to view pix here. Since I can't restore them, I'm assuming someone shut them off from "above". I made the mistake of offering FDD advice. You'd think I'd fucked his mother. Not long after(in October) all my pix vanished. I haven't left, but I'm around far less than previously. Mostly to field questions from the remaining members.
