Where to buy 8" air cooled dual lamp reflector?

I want an 8" air cooled dual lamp reflector about 2 feet by 3 feet and am considering the 8" Raptor Reflector With Dual Lamps. Only thing is all the websites carrying it I've never heard of, and they look like cheap shitty websites and I can't find any reviews of the sellers. I don't want a large package coming to the apartment front office from Hydrofarm if you know what I mean...

I would love to run 8 5 gallon DWC buckets in a 600w HPS and 400w MH with an 8" ventilation system and inline fan in a diy sound box on medium/low lights on; lowest setting lights off just for carbon filter odor scrubbing 24/7... in my 3 foot by 5 foot tent in a huge walk-in closet. Insulated 8" duct with silencer exhausting through the closet wall into the bathroom. Complete with a little air vent cover to be legit.

A small hempy bucket mom/clone tent with t5 CFLs and just a small fan for ventilation, ona gel if needed.

That's the upgrade I'm thinking about anyway. Seems like the choices in a dual lamp reflector are small.

Sounds tight.

I was reading it, and thinking "why would you use dual lamp reflectors? why wouldn't you just do a couple hoods next to eachother?"

Then I read in a 600w HPS and 400w MH. I get it now, that's pretty cool. Dual spectrum 1000w, from one source for even lighting.

A couple things on my opinion, but may not work for your grow style:

8 might be a bit too much in that space, I run 4x 5 gallon soil pots in 1000w hps 5x5 scrog and it's enough plant with a 1.5month veg. Your DWC buckets should make them even bigger too, unless your planning a very short veg.

I'm also using 8" ducting. Hooked up to one 1kw, and into a 400w hood. I got the lowest CFM 8" maxfan and I think it's way too much for my setup. Thinking in the future I'd probably go with 6 inch ducting, to hook up the lights, rather than 8". In mine however, I'm using the 8" to run into a second room, so the 8" fan is only running air over the 1400w of light.

So I'd say look into the 6" fans too, as well as 8". Right now it seems like there are more options, and they are much quieter. I use 6" max fans in my tents at setting 1of3 because anything higher sucks the tents in a half foot. So with my foresight I'm pretty sure the 6" could handle cycling the 1400w's air through the other room, just as well as the 8", and with better efficiency, quieter and more options for speed control depending on how hot it happens to be. The 8" max fan I have only has one setting, that's how they are making them now, until they make a new one. And anything other than the expensive speed controller they sell separately, will fry your fan over time. So that kind of sucks that the 8" aren't as user friendly as the 6" with most fans.

Something to consider.. :peace:
