If i were you I would check craigslist i just got a 400w hps the whole thang ballast bulb hood for 60 bucks and its nearly new the ballast doesnt have a single scratch .There are alot of ppl that couldn't grow because of lack of knowledge and they are selling out cheap you could probly get a full hydro system for 1/2 off i would check that before anything! good luck on your search

I'm a newbie but I just bought a good complete set up from http://www.htgsupply.com/ . They seemed to have good prices But like I said this is my first set up I bought so Im not sure about quality. But the 400 watt set up i bought works great I love it anyway. Good luck

i have the 600 watt from htg works great , i wouldnt use craigslist either lots of good liars out theiru got the 400 so cheap cuz the bulb was probably almost neer the end of its life and what not by brand new htg is the cheapest and decent qaulity specialy for a new grower

htgsopplies prices are hard to beat, and they do stand behind their stuff, I had a bad balast, and they made it right.
