I have a 400w in a cool tube and my temps stay around 78-80 Ive had to add a 2nd 400w (the plants out grew the footprint of 1 400 and i had an extra 400 sitting around) not in a cool tube just air cooled, but my temps at the canopy have climbed to 95-98 but I am able to keep my hand inbetween the canopy and the light without to much heat, and my temps on the middle of the plant are 75 -78 and the temps on top of the pots are around 75, so where is the proper place to test the temps, it would seem to me that the 98-99 temps at the canopy are inacurite because the light keeps heating up the thermometer giving a false reading is this correct ?
