Where to safely keep males

Good Morning. I am new to this forum and relatively new to growing. I have several plants I have grown from seed (indoor grow). They are just beginning to show their sex and I have removed the males from my tent. I would like to keep at least one and have moved them into a different room of the house. I was told that they will still pollinate the females if I leave them anywhere in the house. (the females are in a grow tent in a closed room. The males are on the same floor, opposite end of the house in another closed room.) Is this true?

The biggest issue is clothes and central air.

Pollen is light and easily moved around by air flow and you. Get just a bit on ya not knowing and lean over your plants.

Bam you just got that bitch pregnant without meaning to.....

You can isolate males in another room to collect pollen without pollinating your other plants. I've been doing it for years. You can bring pollen into the flower room on your clothes but if you're careful you don't have much to worry about.

Depends on the airflow in your house though. We reduce humidity throughout the house by having a dehumidifier in the basement with the furnace, and have cold air returns throughout every floor. That would be pretty efficient at spreading pollen around.

I thought of exactly that after I made my post. Forced air heating could be an issue. Any vents in the isolation ward should be sealed off.
