Pr0Fesseur,

I'm all about switching to T5s on account of space and heat issues(mostly space). I was wondering, what's your opinion on the Hydrofarm 4ft 8bulb system vs the Quantum Bad Boy 8 bulb system? I'm not really interested in dimming, just wondering what the pros and cons are.

Thanks

imo the badboys are just more barebones. less housing and weight to the fixture. both will spread the light very well

Hey there thanks for stoppin by and yes the badboys are nice and light easy to move and great ballast/reflectors, cons they have to be rigorously inspected upon receipt and given the once over to check loose connections etc...
I have held both the standard hoticulture and these in my hands and inspected every inch. Remember the BB keep the ballasts nice and cool compared to the others....
Preference in the end my friend... just get good ballasts and keep em cool...

i just heard about t5, im going to try with a 32" mini f8, f13 bulb. how many ladies can i pull and is it possible to flower with this unit? i also have a 24" aquarium light, will it help?
the 24" lights are great w/ft and quite bright.. if you get 16 of em you can make an hid look like a toy..
