what would be the best choice:

1 75 watt CFL
1 23 watt Fluorescent

or a 250 watt "worklight" - i believe its an HPS

or a combination?

my plant is two weeks old.

I dont know what kind of work light it is but if its the kind im thinking of their meant to be on the ground and will be bulky and inconvenient to mount. Though a HID light is the best choice on the other hand cfl are easy and cheap to install as well as being efficient. It is up to you but if you want really good but spend the extra cash and buy a good HID light.

Also since you just started get a couple more plants growing because it sounds like you only have one and trust me after you harvest your going to wish that you had planted more in the beginning.

yeah this is kind of my experimental first grow, so yeah i will go for more. Do you think two 75 watt CFLs will do it for one plant?

what ever bulb you choose make sure it;s the right type cfls 6500k for ve dalight and 2700k softwhite for flowering. The shop light might be a high mercury vapor lamp no go.

no, if you go with CFL's the more the merrier. You can put 2 above in a reflector clamp hood, or whatever, and put some around it for side lighting. Trust, with cfl's you want as many as you can pack in there.

Looks great, but some way try to rig the lights to sit sideways and keep them within 2-3 inches from the tops. This way your lights can give a better luminocity, you feel me.....

Oh and run a fan on then to strengthen the stems for heavy buds. Other that that looks A++
