Which hydro setup to use?

Alright I'm going to start my second grow in a few weeks and I don't want to use soil again. It's to aggrivating to water plants when they start getting larger since I have to remove them from my tent to water the ones in the back. Basically what i'm looking for is a nice setup to handle 8-9 decent sized plants (veg for 4 weeks then flower). My tent is a DR120 and I'm using a 1000W MH/HPS combo. Would prefer a system where the res can be outside of the tent.

Well i know a 4X4 flood table isnt going to fit in my tent so I'd have to use 3X3. And i thought flood tables are better off for SOG style growing?

I do scrog in them with 2 gal pots..check the thread below... Tables r very versatile!

I've been reading alot of good things about the CAP Ebb and Gro system. And I think that will probably best suit my needs for what I'm looking for so I'll probably give it a try.

Get the CAP ebb monster, bigger control bucket with up to 9- 5 gallon site buckets, you can add more but you would have to add another res.

you won't be fitting 8-9 decent sized plants in a 3 by 3 tent and veg for 30 days btw

Its a 4 by 4 and it seems 8 would be the perfect number. In the future I plan on building a large room...but Just starting off small to fund building my perfect grow room.

Bumpin this....any other ideas? Any cool DIY's for hydro setups? Which setup would be the best to maximize yeild with my DR120 and 1000W HPS/MH. Need to get this figured out in the next 2 weeks or my next grow will be in soil again.

get a couple 110 liter igloos and use you imagination, I put water pumps and sprayers in mine, I currently have 2- 70 liter igloos , one is doing straight dwc, the other a hybrid dwc/nft/aero type deal, I predict the hybrid is gonna do better than the straight dwc but who knows.with a 1kw light in such a small tent you'll need some insulation on the res, igloo provides just that.

I'd prefer a system that i can keep what ever reservoir im using outside of my tent to have better temp control of the reservoir.

I'd opt for a DWC setup with a central res and a controller tank, which can be made or bought pre-made for a lot of money. If it's only your second grow, then DWC is a really really simple means of growing in hydro.

Have you thought about using autopots? Basically just your normal soil/coco grow except that it waters itself and you can keep the res anywhere you like. Doesn't need any electronics to keep it going, which is my one concern about hydro.

Something that auto waters in soil...or that I can turn on when i want to do a watering and then turn it off when i see run off...would be nice. The biggest pain in the ass about soil growing is trying to water the plants in the back...which is impossible without pulling everything out to get to them. It's fine when they are small...but once they start getting some size to them it becomes a pain in the ass.

with an igloo cooler temps will be fine no matter what temp your tent is, thats the whole idea behind using a cooler.I have 2-3 coolers in flower at any given time , I run a ebb monster controller and 55 gallon res , The 55 gallon res is 15 feet from the room. If you decide on DWC(which you probably should), igloo coolers as grow chambers AND main res are good, you might not think so right now but when summer temps hit you will.

Which is why i suggested autopots. It is soil based growing but it waters itself. I did not touch my plants from the first day of 12/12 to chop day, all i had to do was fill the res up every couple of weeks.
