Which is the best HPS DE combo?

I don't know maybe it is a misunderstanding but here they write:

'We’ve pushed the newest & hottest technology in lighting to the next level. We’ve increased the standard 1150W output to 1200W, now producing a class leading luminous flux of 160,300 lm.'

I also got that picture of them....
Oh yeh, my ballast has a 1200 watt setting but I think that you will decrease bulb life and maybe screw up the spectrum. I personally wouldn't use it.
I was hoping to use a splitter and run two 600's but it wouldn't fire them.

Have a look at the picture that I attached in the picture before. The spectrum doesn't look any bad.

Also I was told by Nanolux the following:

'The life of the lamps is shortened when under-driving and over-driving a lamp. But also not by much.

Turning a lamp on or off has more of a detrimental effect than dimming / overdriving'

So if I go with the AdjustAWings Hellion 750 it will cost me 2350 Dollar for 4 fixtures.

Solistek advises not over 5 percent overdrive, even tho their ballast can put out 1150. I'm running 750's sometimes overdrive to 825 and i'm satisfied.

Some info I got from the adjustAWings:

[...]
I designed the Hellion 600-750W to be the best performing 600W unit on the market,,,,, and it has the added bonus of being able to be super boosted to 750W if the grower feels the need.

Run the lamps between 45cm & 70cm above the crop, depending on sensitivity of plant growth/development stage.

Try growing on 600W setting at all stages except for week 4 to week 7 of flowering. Give them a super boost to 750W setting from end of week 4 to end of week 7.

See last pic, 6 x Hellions in a 2.4m x 3.6m tent, run exactly as I suggested above... The grower also installed 6 x LED panels to enhance the undergrowth in last 4 x weeks. Yield was 7.5kg.

[...]
The picture that I sent you yesterday showing 6 x Hellions in action. That came to me from someone very close to Gavita. That tent was originally set up as a 6 x Gavita 1000W DE experiment.

The grower informed me that the Hellion 750s yielded slightly more than the Gavita 1000s and the plants were healthier, more even in size & maturity & potency.

The Gavitas were too hot & had to be dimmed to 600W for last 3 x weeks. . Same 6 x 285W LED panels were used to develop understory in last 4 x weeks.

Further, we do most of our testing with PAR meters & I really hate those things because they are retarded at measuring angular light emissions.

Even though the Epogee meters with “cosine correction”... Yerright, what a load of crap. I measure up to 60% difference in meter readings by tilting the sensor 10 to 15 degrees (should be < 3% difference going by epogee manual).

And don’t get me started on radiant heat / IR etc...

Anyway, the only reliable test is a biological/plant growth test !!!! And if you can get side by side comparisons within the same grow room, that’s gold.

They also claim about the material of the Avenger reflector the following: This is the most reflective and most durable reflective surface on the market and it will maintain full refection for up to 20 years.. :-D

Gavita recommends to swap reflector every year.

Somebody else said the contacted the producers of the reflective hoods (I guess the sit in Germany) and they said that these reflective surfaces will last for many years.

I really wonder what is the truth underneath all that claims :-D :-D :-D
