Which light cycle do you use?

20/4 ONLY to save a bit on the bill. For the last 10 years my light only went off a few times a year when I had to replace the bulb or move the light. Otherwise 24/0. 600hps
I bet it makes the bulb last longer too?
Everyone who can especially with autos should try 24/0 unless temps are an issue and you'll see the difference in grow speed vs 6 whole hours less per day.

I run my mothers/clone tent 24/0. They’re under a 150hps. This is cheap to run 24 hours straight, but if I was running a higher wattage (400+) I’d probably run it 18/6. Power is $0.15/kw here during peak hours. December and January it’s $0.19/kw during peak hours (7am-7pm I think). my flower cycle runs 11pm-11am with the lights on for steady temps.
so to make a short story long, it’s a cost issue for me because I’m a cheap bastard.
As for roots growing at night, I’m sure they do, but the also grow during the day, otherwise my plants would be laying on the ground right now. If such high power costs weren’t an issue, I’d Veg 24/0 with my extra 600 or 1000 watt.
