Which light cycle is best to veg under just before flowering?

Is the transition from vegging to flowering any different depending on whether you were under an 18/6 or 24/0 cycle? I would imagine a plant under 18/6 would already have a resting period worked into its schedule, and may have a head start in "resting" the first nights of flowering possibly? Where as the 24/0 plants would have to get used to resting, and may have whatever difference as a result. I could also see a possibility of the 24/0 plants having more energy stored to put into flowering the first nights?
Just would like some other opinions, see what everyone thinks. If 18/6 has any other affects other than plants stretch during veg during dark period and it obviously saves money for 6 hours out of the day.

Jorge C., the growers' guru, did some research on just this subject. He took clones and vegged them at 18/6, 20/4 and 24/0.
He found that 20/4 and 24/0 were equally better than 18/6. He recommended the 20/4 setting as it allows the bulb to cool off
a few hours a day. If you don't have a timer or don't want to mess with one - go ahead and veg at 24/0.

Technically your supposed to transition your plant over a 2 week period to get them down to 12/12. What ever light cycle you were on. Slowly transitioning to 12/12 flower cycle. Do most of do that? No.
