Which Method

So here is what im looking for in my grow.

Yield

I say yield because aside from smokability (curing) everything else is based upon the strain (taste, type, etc.). Or at least this is how im rationalizing it cuz im hi :blsmoke: lol

And i know some plants yield lower than others. But thats why im growing for the yield and baseing it upon what method i use instead of what plant yields the most so i can be able to pick whatever plants i want to grow.

Anyway im going to be purchasing this tent http://shop.simplyhydro.com/Dark-Room-40DR12041-Everest-Garden-Supply_p_2296.html

Now what method would i use to maximize how many plants i could put in there without overcrowding.

Methods being Hydro, aero, soil

Along with the method scrog or sog or whichever method out there can be used to produce high yield too.

And also how many watt bulbs would i need. 400w,600w etc.? Ill be using MH and HPS.

that tent should do you fine but i am weary of any company who uses bad grammar/spelling and no proofreading in their product descriptions. it's a red flag for me but i'm just one of "those people". on to your questions. lst is my favorite because it increases yeild without slowing plant growth from stress. sog works best from clone so if you're using seed it may not be the best option because the canopy may be difficult to control. scrog i have never done but i see no reason one couldn't combine lst with scrog besides some crowding issues. i don't grow in hydro myself but it does seem to get a bit more yeild than soil in the same time due to increased growth rate in the side by sides i've seen. aero is the most difficult to pull off. about the lamp wattage, it's up to you. are you going to separate the tent into a veg and flower chamber or just use the whole tent for each stage? the tent is basically 4 x 4 feet so you could easily fit a 400 or even 600 watt light in each chamber using the right size reflectors if you separate it, as long as you vent the heat. if you are using it as a single chamber you are only limited by what you can afford to buy and pay in power each month. about how many plants you could fit, it depends, but definately several.

With you there totally. If they have not the pride in their documentation to produce it to a high standard, do they have pride in anything they produce??

My advice would be to use a simple ebb and flow tray setup. Put up to about 3-4 plants in there. Start the vegetative stage with 250MH (about 2wks)and then move up to 400HPS when it's time to flower. You could also use fluorescent lights in place of the metal halide if the space is too warm.

Hope this helps.

If Yield is what you are after and if you have height restrictions (which you will in a tent, I would go with Critical Mass and do a tight density SOG (3-4 plants per sq ft). Now if you are in an area with high humidity and you don't have a way to control this, than don't go with that strain or any strain that is conducive to growing giant and dense flowers. There are so many variables to take into consideration but I know for a fact (as I have done it before) that you can grow Critical Mass in a tight SOG and get 2 oz per plant. The average was a bit less than 2 but that was with no boosters or hardeners. Another good one is Nebula.. If you grow in Coco using an active drip system, use High PAR bulbs, use CO2, keep your temps at 86 degrees and have plenty of good air movement, you can get 2 oz per plant with Critical Mass in a 3 plant per sq ft set up. So if you were doing this in say a 3x6 tray in a 4x8 tent and you had that under 3 600 watt HPS high PAR bulbs, I would expect you to finish 60 plants in 7 weeks max and you should be able to get 100 - 120 OZ's.

I have actually done this before but I didn't use CO2 and didn't run High Par bulbs as they weren't available at the time. So if you add a hardener like Gravity and a booster I think you could probably increase that yield a bit further.

Now if you aren't experienced and you try to do that grow, you will need help or you will crash and burn. Growing that style is labor intensive and you need to constantly look for issues before they get out of hand. Powdery mildew, mites molds in general can really ruin your day fast... Good luck..

well this is my first grow so that would deff be a little much for me bulldog.

This is all personal grow and close friends ya know. so i dont need 100-120oz at a time lol thatd last me quite a while lol.

I dont have access to clones so ill be going right from the seed which is why i was saying scrog. I say scrog because it just seems better to me, from what ive read, than sog am i wrong here? Im not going to be having separate chambers. Mainly because it seems complicated in a tent and like i said its my first grow so im tryin to not make it too complicated

So wat? A 400 wat hps and 250 mh like hydroguy suggested? And why just 3-4 plants? Couldnt i fit more in there? and what could i expect, generally speaking in your expierence, from those 3-4 plants yield wise?

I will have high Humidity because i live in Tampa but ill be able to control my humidity just fine if im using a tent.
