Yea maybe two 5 gallons might have to angle them to the corners though. What lighting are you using? I have my 250HPS but I'm considering switching over to T5's for my next grow to try them out.

I have a custom built light 4 cobs that max out at 250w, but I am running them around 190w.

It's in my blog with the custom carbon filter I made, tent, etc....

Nothing growing yet still in the finishing up the planning and testing stage....

i read LST and top but no scrog. that would the make the best use of space/light for one plant

I have been using a 36'W X 20"D X 62"H tent like...forever. I could go bigger if I wanted but I have never grown more than 2 plants per cycle and that provides me with more medicine than I need. When I first started I had 250W HID...I regularly pulled 1.5 to 2 ounces dry per plant. I now have 400w and have done one grow. I had a serious brain fart and made a serious grower error. Even with the loss of harvested weight I still cleared 5.5 ounces dry from my 2 gurlz. So you see great things need not come in huge boxes. I have seen growerz on RIU fail big time with gigantic grow areas, lights out the ass, top of the line equipment, medium, and nutes. I have also seen large outdoor growz fail. Conversely I have seen several farmers using Fluoro (tube and or cfl) in cardboard boxes and computer cases still pull decent yield...obviously not outstanding but decent. A grower has to work with what he/she has and can afford. Knowledge and instinct are much more important than sheer size of the grow.

In short, (pun intended) size is of little importance. It is all about the quality of finished product and personal satisfaction and medication provided by the grow.

Grow. It big ,if you ain't topped it and it's around 2, ft then just put netting over it ,and keep tucking the tops under for the first 4 week ,at the end of week 4 stop tucking the tops and let it do its own thing ,it's what I do ,but I do top a lot during veg.Make sure the table (netting)the squares are not too small.and it will produce tripple what flowering clones will produce if done right.

What I would do.
It's a 250 watter and you're doing micro. You already stated scrog.
Get your net ready.
When your plant's old enough to top do so.
Go with the whole mainlining thing aka building a manifold.
Now only top it so you have 4 branches coming out.
Place it right smack in the middle of the screen.
Angle your plant so that each of those 4 branches are growing towards a corner. Looking down at the plant it'll be like an X in a box.
Just keep tucking your main branches. You should start getting side branches growing out of the internodes in very short order.
Just direct the and start tucking them in whatever direction they're growing. It'll fill out the center nicely.
Now when your 4 tips reach the ends of the net don't bother bending them around.
Just top those and flip to 12/12.
Your plant will start pushing it's internode branches out like crazy then. Along with the flowering stretch your whole screen fill out and get dense.
Keep tucking those for the next 2 weeks.
Then just sit back and watch the magic happen.
From the time you stick the plant under the net until flip shouldn't take any longer than 2 weeks since it'll be in a small space.

I'm gong with B too. 4 plants sounds about right and go 12/12 from seed. Small Autos are a good choice as well. I like 2 gallon pots myself and you might be able to get 4 in there. 1 gallon may be fine too. I don't know. But, option A is doable as well. Will take a longer veg. Your space is fine. From a feller micro dude that only grows personal, I only need 1 female plant and the product will last forever. Good genes designed for your needs are the kicker. You need genes that fit whatever style you choose. I.E. Genes that produce a smaller, faster plant for option b. Or perhaps a sativa Dom that likes training for option a. Good question.

I agree with ^^^^ except for the auto choice, I've had good yields but quality has always (so far) been really disappointing, still looking though lol. A 2x2 area is not going to give a lot of room for training and faster turn around with smaller plants would be my choice. A potent one bud strain would be my choice as well for B

Bullshit... Ive pulled 8 oz in a 2x2x3 space.

Single plant monsters are fun, but you waste a good portion of electricity and time in veg which reduces your potential yield for the year.
Sea of green with good yielding quick running clones would be one of the best ways to get your money worth imo
