which product to pick?

I am new to this other than glass tubes, but I want to know what kit would be better for newbie I am a quick learner and have plenty to run.

I would go with the kit. I own most of the pieces of the kit and have not regretted it one bit. Especially nice is the vacuum chamber and pump. You can use it even if/when you out grow the CLS unit itself.
