Hey guys! I'm quite new at growing and where I live I have available few soil's. Batmix, Growmix, Lightmix and Royal Mix. I have no clue which ones best and for what stage it is used. Right now I'm using light soil i bought from general store with perlites.

Could you please tell me which one of those up mixes are best for veg/flower? Thank you very much!

Generally soils are not classified by which state of growth they best promote. Kinda hard to change soils in the middle of a grow. So watever soil u choose just use it all the way thru. The nutrients are the only thing that will change from veg to bloom.

light mix is nice to start out new seedling in, as its not to hot for a small seedling plant

I dont know the royal or the grow mix, but I know the batmix and its nice for weed, but also a bit hot, so if it was me with them two I would use light mix first 2-3 weeks in Cup`s then repot em to a bigger pot and make a mix of lightmix and batmix 1-1 and for the final pot I would only use batmix (just one way to do it)

in general, small plant dont need much food, so go with a light fertilized one to start with, later on when you have bigger plant (mature or in flowering) they can take much more

dont repot in flowering, do the final repot a week before

and most important about soil for weed is that it have the right PH, some cheap "super market" soil`s keep to much peetmoss and have a bit low PH (5,5 to 6,2)weed need a PH between 6 and 7 so look for a soil that is some where around that (the one I usually use is 5,8-6,6 and do the job nicely

beside PH the other most important thing is to keep it light and airy, so keep a good amount of perlite (10-30%) in the mix, stuff like coco fibers and lega stone/nuts (small clay balls) or green sand is also stuff that can make a compact soil a bit more light with better drain, and drain is so importent, weed dont like to stand in "Old" staled water for to long (it need oxygen to its roots) so make sure the pots you use all have nice drain hole`s

and start em out in Cup`s or small pot`s and move your way up, a small seedling in a 5 gallon pot is a bad combo, almost impossible to water probably with out over watering (need some experience here) I use Cup`s for the first 1-3 week`s then 1 gallon for another 3 week`s before I use a 3 gallon to finish of veg, a week or so before I start 12/12 I repot in to the final pot, a 5 or 7 gallon depending on how big my plant is

no problem, and remember less is more, so to speak, both when it comes to water and nutrients, much more easy to provide water the to correct a over watered plant (look in to H2O2/hydrogen peroxide if that ever happen: http://joemacho.hubpages.com/hub/Hydrogen-Peroxide-for-Plants also useful if you get some kind of pest)

and much more easy to provide a bit more nutrients then correct a "burned" plant you over feed, learn to read your plant (it will take a few grows and a few mistake and a lot of research)

this is a nice place to look up stuff:

even stuff you did`t know you needed ;)

and use youtube, a lot of nice videos there, if your more of a lazy kind a guy :D amazing how much you can learn with a cup of coffee and a joint in front of youtube for a few hours :D

try to search for: Jorge Cervantes

p.s.
if you do them repots along the way, you wont really need any/much veg fertilizer, just get a good one for flowering, actually if I had to say one, Im thinking nova flora bloom, some use the single bottle from seed to harvest, seems like it have the right "numbers" but I atlest know its great for flowering, tho use a slightly deluded solution to start out with and work your way up, in a good soil I like to give em clean water in between the nutrients, so if you Etc water twice a week you do one clean and one with nuts so to speak

here have some more to read ;)

but agin, that is just one way, remember to take every thing in here with a "gram of salt" use logic and common sense, see what people suggest and use what ever advice that you think suit you and the situation your in
