Which T5's to Supplement HPS Flowering?

For vegging, I'm using 6500K T5's.

I'd like to also use T5's to supplement HPS flowering. So, should I use the 3000K T5 (normally used for flowering)? Or should I use the 6500K T5 to give more of a full spectrum?

Quite a loaded question because some people preach that additional blue is required. Most HPS bulbs give out some blue spectrum. I flower using a 2:1 ratio of HPS to MH and love the results I get. You will probably get peeps telling you to do either or I am afraid. Me, I would go with the 6500k if it was just HPS's I was running. Good luck. DST

The thing about using t5's to supplement during flowering is that you can't really get them close enough to be any help without also blocking out some HPS light. Unless you use them hung vertically as side lighting.

i agree with you totally.

but of course on the side lighting, no point in havin it in the way of the hps.
