which way up does the seed go into the soil ?

it doesn't matter to be 100% honest.
Only thing NOT to do is touch the taproot (assuming you germinate prior to putting in the soil)
It doesnt matter if the taproot is planted up or down it will (the seed) rearrange itself how it likes. So its not like you can plant it upside down and the roots will grow above the soil and the leaves/branches in the dirt. thats not how it works.
So either way is fine. you can even plant it with laying down sideways. it really doesn't matter (i speak from experience)

you know whats funny about the "don't touch the taproot" thing? You are putting it in DIRT...If you are a dirty farmer like me my hands are dirty as fuck from dealing with soil...so any oils that were on my fingers are pretty much contained by the layers of soil on my fingers already...ive touched many a taproot and slung it down into the soil pointing down and they've all come up healthy as could be

eh massah also thanx again for ur input last week on light elavation !well...you've got two schools of thought on this subject...you've got the people who say to put it tip up as it will curl back down into the soil...then other people who say to put it tip down with the seed shell facing up...I think it all works personally

i only say don't touch the taproot cuz if you damage it = dead seedling.
