Which will give a bigger yield? The 2nd part of my 1st grow :)

I had my 1st grow (indoors) with 2 Orange Hill Special (Fem) seeds and 3 of the free Afghani (reg) seeds. I ended up completing 1 Orange Hill Special and got about 1 Oz of some good smoke from it! The other Orange Hill Special plant didn't flower right so I tossed it out. Out of the 3 Afghani seeds 2 of them were males and the 3rd one was so small it looked like a seedling. The small one stayed small all throughout the vegging of all the other plants (2.5 - 3 months). When I flowered the remaining Orange Hill Special in my tent I put the small Afghani runt outside just to see what would happen to it (Arizona sun). The Afghani started to grow and when I finished and harvested the Orange Hill Special I moved the Afghani into the tent and flipped to 12/12.

It is doing good but I had a question on LST technique. I am going to try to explain this and may not use the proper terms but I have attached pics to help explain (2nd & 3rd pics). Is it better for more yield to make the top laid out to the sides and it seems buds have started to grow up and down the branches along with a fat bud on the end of the branch. Or would you get more yield by just letting the buds grow straight up in a natural state? The 1st pic, is this a good lollipop or should I have cut some more of the bottom branches off? If too many bottom branches is it too late to cut them now or just leave it?

Having one main cola is going to give you small yields usually... To get more yield, you want multiple main colas. You can achieve this by topping your plant, adding a scrog, LST, Main-lining. Having a big even canopy, alot of light and growing skills...
Its recommended to chop off the lower branches in veg and/or early flower, that way you will not end up with larf(pop corn buds)
IMO you should just leave everything as is, chopping off the branches now will only postpone your harvest and maybe lower your overall yield/quality
