White Blotches occuring on my leafs

i have been growing my purple sativa plant for about 40 days, i know its a female but theirs little white blotches that have been occuring on the leafs any ideas? by the way its an indoor/outdoor purple sativa strain. i let it sit outside during the day and at night bring in under a 250 W infrared light and a 400 W HG

I am asking you if it LOOKS LIKE paint over spray. Small white dots like these --> ..........

or larger white dots ?? I know it isn't paint over spray. If it is small dots that LOOKS LIKE paint over spray then you have spider mites more than likely. Look under the leaves and see if you see small BLACK dots. You might need a magnifying glass to see them.

For your sake I hope it is NOT mites during flowering. Posting a picture always helps when you are trying to find solutions to problems.

hmm ok i dont know how to post pictures but i have a picture of it that i can send you, it does look like paint over spray

i actually just went and looked at the bottom of the leafs, their are no distinct black dots, ive only been growing it for 39 days today so its still in veg.

Then that sucks to be brutally honest with you. What stage of flowering are you? How many weeks into flower? And is it over all of your leaves or just one part?

That is a problem when they come from outside to inside is that the critters or mites go along for the ride. During flowering it is a pain in the ass to get rid of them to be honest. That happened to me the last time and the only thing I will ever do again to try and rid them is order some predatory mites. You have to hit them fast and hard to get rid of them. If it is of any help to you Home Depot sells lady bugs during this time of the year. I would go and get many of them and release them onto your plants (indoors). I think outdoors they will want to fly off.

The name of the predatory mites you will want are called Phytoseiulus Persimilis and also Neoseiulus Fallacis. You can get them at Arbico or Green Methods.com.

Many complain about the prices of the predatory mites but what is the biggest loss? $50 or your yield ?

Ok, well there is the information in case they are spider mites. Yea a picture would be the best way to go about it. Easier to diagnose. Could be anything.

And sorry I thought you were in flowering stage.

fuck lol well this is my first grow, and its just a single plant, it is kind of only on my first couple bottom leafs should i just cut those leaves off? is their any other ways of getting around this problem without the ladybuggs?

If they are spider mites which I am pretty sure they are, and you are also in the veg state, you need to spray down your leaves top side and bottom side really good with either Fungicide 3 ( there are other products too) which is a fungicide, insecticide and miticide, which you can get at Wal Mart or Lowes. You will have to do this every few days for a couple of weeks, or at least I would to first kill the parents and then kill the hatchlings with the latter spraying to make sure.

Or you can get Volck Oil Spray which will kill the parent mites and also the eggs. Don't stick your plant under direct light with either of these. I would also rinse off the plants with regular 6.5 pH water about 15 minutes after you have sprayed them down to kill the mites.

When you are done with that I would also dip them or spray them with Neem Oil to make sure nothing can eat through your leaves again. Be sure to spray the tops, bottoms, branches and soil with whatever you choose to use.

Regardless of what you use, you will also need to make sure and spray bomb your grow room on the inside. They sell organic spray bombs. It is a nightmare to have these little fuckers! If you do not get rid of every one of them they will multiply within days. The best defense is a good offense. Don't go into the room after you have been out in the yard without a shower and change of clothes. Wash your hands always before you touch the leaves. If you touch one leaf with mites on it and touch another one you will get mites on the other plant. Don't let the leaves of one plant touch another so they can't travel from one plant to another and also just my opinion, don't grow them outside and then bring them back inside. Do one or the other. And that is about all I know about the lil bastards. :bigjoint: Good Luck!

sounds like spider mites..lollipops ur plant. take and strip all side branches and fan leaves off the bottom main stem for like 8 in above the soil. throw those leaves the F out. mites like the lowers at the beginning of the outbreak. sounds like thats wut u caught, and even not lollipopping will help the plant ditch the lower popcorn material, iimprove air circulation. dont do anything radical because of the mites, use the lollipop, and start a regiment of neem for a couple weeks. if ur not past week 4 of 12 12. use the neem once a week as a foliar, and during the inbetween times spray water and dish soap mixture and clean and wipe off ur new shiney leaves. do this without ur lights on for obvious reasons. this is wut i would reccommend. just dont do anything jurastic yet if u believe its mites, wut ive reccommended can only help either way
