White bugs in soil..... sand is a killer!!!!

ok so after my double infestation of spider mites and my rouge ninja slug, i managed to get thyem bastard white fly's in my soil.. ive read alot about these pesky buggers and what they do to our precious baby's.. well i had no money to solve this current bug problem so i took the cheapest easiest route and ran to a local building site and stole a BIG! bucket of fine sharp sand and coverd my soil with it about an inch thick... I then waited 4 days untill my plant was a very thirsty looking girl and removed the sand ontop of the soil and waterd her... YIPPY!!!!! no bugs crawling on the surface... i hope they dnt come back

Had the same problem with gnats though, went and picked up some sand and problem solved

Are you supposed to remove the sand? Can you leave it on for the rest of the grow?

You can leave it on, but the sand blocks a lot of oxygen your plants could be using.
