White flies

I noticed some tiny white flies around my plants. They are just starting to flower and I want to know what is the best way to treat for them.

I had fungus knats before.. Used sticky strips and covered the soil with a layer of sand

I had this problem as well, but it was 4 weeks into flowering, so i had to be a bit more careful. I saw this method on the FAQs and it wored wonderfully, just make sure you reapply 2 weeks later so you kill all of them fuckers, if you let a few of them live, they will become a big problem again. Zap them while you can.

I read about using sticky strips in my book and it also said you could use Pyrethrum. Using chemicals concerns me but will the sticky strips get rid of all of them and where can you buy them?

Sticky strips don't use chemicals, at least here stateside. They use a really tacky resin and a natural oil that attracts flies. It's only as effective as the proximity to flies, which means having it close to your plants. The caveat, the fucking resin is next to impossible to get off your fingers.

Neem oil is not a chemical, it will not harm you, and if you use it with the soap/water method there will not be any neem oil residue. I understand that you do not want chemicals in your bud, neither do I.

Trust me on this. :leaf:

the sticky trap isn't a way to control the population, its a way to catch some for further examination.

when some stick to the trap you can marco-photograph them and upload a photo or take it to your hydro store and get the proper insecticide.
