White hairs but no "buds", 3 weeks flowering under cfl's.

IMG_20120517_163815.jpg man I wish both plants lpokwd like the shorter one, it looks so much better than the tall skunny one. I think it was from some good mids and the tall one was fromm regs. Next time i'll seperate seeds so I know.

Gpw does not work it has many factors that go against experience of the grower, the genetics of the plants, the media, the nutrient feeding program, the room temps and the light.

I haven't been growing that long. I don't mean to imply it's always useful, but it can give you a perspective. Like I said, it's only useful if you can know all the variables and account for them. Penetration is seems fairly moot for him, he's got lights surrounding his whole plant and it's not bushy at all. There's not enough foliage to reduce light exposure meaningfully. Either way though, my defense of gpw is really off topic. So I shall stop arguing it, because it's really not that big of a deal and I'm okay with us differing on it. The 3-7g estimate works anyways; if oscar gets more, it's a pleasant suprise. If not, then it was expected I suppose.

It's all good kp I know you were curious of how I came to the conclusion of 3-7 grams. Well my very first indoor grow I had I only got 2 oz off 4 3ft Hindu kushes it was really really bad. all airy and shit, plus I didn't know how to dry or cure and to top it off I pulled it way too early. I was using a 600 watt for veg and HPS for flower.

So you realistically think i'll get an 1/8 out of 2 plants? Come on bro, maybe the pics suck but I can see more than that on one of them. Well we will seee, im hoping for more but grateful for whatever.

Yeah, that is true. There's alot that can go wrong if nothing else until you get your system worked out.

As I expected you have too little light. It may be sativa dominant plant as well. As you already probably know, you vegged too long for the amount of space you have. For CFLs you really need to flower them earlier or top and/or train them to stay short. The light must be within inches of the plant to be effective so all that ius getting sufficient light is the top. If you could, I would recommend getting an HID to finish them out and using the CFLs for veg. You will get a much better harvest now and in the future. Yours are looking way better than my first crop though, nice job.

like I stated before home depot has a 50 watt hps wall light for $39.97 If he added that he'll be ok for now. One of my buddies uses 2 100 watt hps security lights in a little cabinet he made and it works, but keep in mind the plants have to be kept short maybe 12" before flowering.

Well thanks for all the input/advice. I think i'll add some sort of hid, prolly hps. I saw a pretty cheap setup on htgsupply for like 70 bucks. 150watt bulb with ballast and hood. Anybody tried it?

Sweet, hope it shows up quick! Oh, if you're looking for deals and in no hurry to expand, keep an eye on craigslist. I see people selling some equipment at least once every couple weeks.

3-5 biz days supposedly, i'm super excited, I cant wait to get it. Ill use it overhead and use thee big cfls I have for side lighting.

There's a luminous efficacy chart for cfl's if you look for it. One of the smaller wattages has the best lumen per watt output.

Its crazy how much taller the one is. Theyre actually about the same age. I think the taller one vegged for way too long. The smaller one vegged for a couple weeks less.
