so i started off with 24 gods gift plants and it doesn't seem like my new growth has much of a problem and new leaves seem to be healthy but that all my leaves are growing very bushy and close together and I'm not sure that's normal or just the strain?? Also as you can see I'm getting this white powder around my drip rings, hydrochloric pebbles, as well on my lower leaves and lower part of my stems? i was just wondering if any1 could help me figure out what that is??:?:

The white power as you call it is salt. Your plants are not using the nutrients correctly and are giving off the salt. It goes in the res and back out the drippers. I had it too. Could be Ph is off.

Oh, believe me when you go to clean it off you wont call it powder. Its hard as a rock.

Looks like nute salts from here too. Only other thing that will cause a white powder I know of is powdery mildew/mold and it forms on the leaves pretty much alone.

Make sure to rinse that hydroton out best as possible, its notorious for holding nutrient salts and this could throw off ph in a heartbeat...then cause lockout.

Check the undersides of the leaves to this plant for TINY little insects moving that look like dirt grains... I believe I may be seeing faint mite bites on her.

What I think you should do is check out my waterfarm setup journal.
I went through the same thing and you may be able to skip the head aches.

Its salt man. and like bear says it can really mess things up.

do you suggest fixing it without converting it to an ebb& flow??
