A buddy of mine is just finishing up his first indoor grow and sent me some pics of his buds. Check out the white tips!

Any idea why the white tips?

Hot tops while light too close would be my guess. My Cobs will do this to tops at higher currents in hot temps. At lower currents in high temps no issue so solution for me was to increase distance or decrease output, decrease overall temps at canopy.

Sounds like a lot of bullshit in that article. More like an excuse some noob came up with so he could still sell his bleached out buds that he had too close to his light lol
Its not any more potent, tasty, terpy, smelly etc. Its just the same bud but devoid of color on the tip. If it were better....everyone would be growing plants 4" under their light to achieve this haha
I've experienced it with my 1K HPS when plants get unruly and grow closer to the light than I planned. Had it happen once with my COB LED's recently too. Never personally seen it under Fluoros though but
I've never had wattages in fluoros exceeding 400W. Never owned a blurple.

The others nailed it. Light bleaching. I have 2 that look just like em on a couple plants now. They were too close to my cobs.

I'm waiting for LED companies to start using this as a way to market their lights and charge more. "Grow white tipped buds!" "Buy our lights" "Advanced lighting technology produces white buds up to 45% THC"
