White Widow looks a little stretched - considering LST

I wanted some opinions on whether yield would be greater if I started tying down now, or just let them grow? I have plenty of room (in a very large closet) so I have no height restrictions. I'm just concerned with total yield...

1 month of vegging. They are about 1.5 weeks into flowering and appear to both be showing as female. Planted in 3 gal pots with Ocean Forest. BioCanna nutes (didn't nute much in veg phase though). 250W MH for veg, switched to 12/12 250W HPS for flowering.

Mary (larger one) appears a little stretched. Jane (smaller!) got a little slow start due to having her seed shell covering the first leaves for a while.

Any input on this? Mary is about 2 feet tall now. I tried bending her a bit but her stalk is pretty hard. Should I attempt the bend this late in the game or just go with it for this grow?

You can lst her, start off slow and do a little at a time . Until the stem is where you want it. That is what i had to do and it took me 2 days to get it tied all the way down to the pot.

Thanks for the input. I started to bend her today. I attached twine to the bottom to stablize, and then bent about 6" from the top down a bit. I'll increase the bend daily.

Ugh. I bent her too fast I guess and she snapped. Her stem went a full 90 degrees with a bad crimp and one side slit. I straightened her back out and tied her up... hopefully she'll recover. I'm not going to mess with her anymore.

Dwez, thanks I actually did put some large books under the smaller girl to get her up higher due to another poster's suggestion last night. I felt dumb not thinking of that prior... thanks for suggesting it :)

where it snaped at it will recover it will make a big knuckle there you could have left it with a little support and raised it to light

they heal themselvs very reselent

not to worry if you like can uses something like celephane and wrap like a bandage will be OK in about 4 or 5 days promise

good luck
