Day 30 flowering. Ide say another 4 weeks or so...?

Going to flush out my res. next weekend with a little less nutes. Then a week after that i will flush for 2 weeks. Hopefully after those 4 weeks my buds should be close to ready.

They look so yummy bongsmilie

are you using the fogger system during flowering?

i think i remember you saying you switched to DWC, am i wrong?

are you using a wetting agent for your nutes? how about a root cleaning enzyme? ever hear of hydrozyme?

No I dont use the fogger during flowering because combined with the plants it consumes too much water (i cant keep up with it). Also it makes the humidity much higher and i never ever want to see mold on my buds so...

no wetting agent. Just flora nova bloom and grow with koolboom and some vitamins. I'de say a good 30-40% of the time i use straight tap from the faucet with a dash of ph down..

Never tried a root cleaning enzyme. Never had any problem with root rot. In fact i have a male plants roots sitting im my res, dead/detached from plant for over a month and i still have zero rot or issues with my roots. Just make sure you have a lot of air! a good pump and a lot of airstone will keep your roots nice. Also make sure you change the water in your res every 2 weeks.. It sucks, and you might need someone to help but u will regret not doing it.

So i had to take a small clipping to taste. I know im a good 4 weeks before they are ready but im dry and bored.

I took 4gms wet. 2nd to last picture is the bud semi dry.. I took a branch from the very bottom with the smallest weakest nugs. So i doubt i took anythign great.

I put the bud in aluminum then put it on top f a light bulb so i could toke it soon. So it will look much better when im rdy to hang dry it. Wont look burnt.

To my utter surprise the high is pretty damn strong. Not for long but its a heavy head high. I feel retarded for the first 15 seconds then it wears off to a heavy head high for 5 mins. Then the next 30 mins im okay... after that i find myself asking myself if im even stoned.... lol

I opened one of the grow boxes and saw a very small group (3-5) of what looked to be like fruit flies flying around. I quick swatted them and got them out of the box. I crushed one with my hands and it looks a lot like a fruit fly..

I banged the res and shook all the trees and no other gnats flew out...

i will confirm tomorrow if this is a problem or not, but this is the first ive seen fies in my grow box ever (or any kind of bug for that matter).

So if they are fungus gnats how do i kill them? everythign i read up about is for soil.. Gnatrol work in hydro? I will get fly tape tomorrow.

Anyone know how to rid of these gnats? Ive only seen 5 or so so far but i don't want to wait for an infestation before i look at it as a problem...

I know i can use tape but that only traps the already alive gnats.. I want to kill them at the source...

Anyone ideas for hydro? Soap, peroxide, gnatrol...??? hydro???

I use Flora Nova Bloom and Grow With Kaboom as well. I then have some Vitamin concoction i use but i dont know whats in it.

I havent seen any other gnats. And the buds are starting to smell really sweet and a dash like lemons.

I went and checked for gnats this morning and i saw none. I moved my fan last night also, so even if they were in there they wont be able to fly with this fan going... hehehe.

Im starting to see my first amber hairs. 99% are still white. So im going to start to flush in a week or so. I figure i have 3-4 weeks left. I will update with pictures later tonight.

i have WW and super silver haze fem seeds ive found thart even though there "female"seeds i still had a 50-50 female to hermi ratio so i dont think it was worth the extra $ unless i was only able grow 1 plant at a time.let me know what u think.

i dont think they should turn hermie unless they are stressed. Either way most of my fem seeds were free-bees so i dont care. But thanks for the heads up

i just added two of those ultrasonic foggers from the halloween superstore, i added it into my res on a platform just below water level.

fog fills up the res and comes out the plant net pots, but my question is, does this really work, people on riu say it doesn't, that all that gets fogged is water, no nutes in the fog.

if i start clones on this in 5in net pots with rockwool or rapid rooter plugs and hydroton in the pot, will the fog go in between all the hydroton and keep the grow medium moist?

how long do you leave you fogger on during the day?

I dont know if the nutes go into the fog. But i find the fog helps for the seed/veg stage. If you have a fan going then yes the fog will come up through the hydroton. I find if there is no air movement it all stays under/stagnant. It should help keep everything moist. My cups never dry out and i dont have any type of drip system.... Fogger is on as long as the lights are on.

so you have never had a problem with rockwool being too saturated causing the plants to show symptoms of over watering?

the reason why i ask is because from your description, you are using just the fog for feeding the roots before they hit the water below, even before they are sticking out of the net pot. correct?

then sooner or later roots are long enough to drink from the water below, the gap between the water and the top is where roots are feed with fog as well.

you got it.... sometimes i pour a little bit of water on the top but thats it. I dont use rockwool though. I use the black pre-made grow cubes. u dont have to ph balance etc... So i dont know if you will have the same results with rockwool... And this might be stupid but how exactly do u over water with hydroponics?
