White Widow Problem (pics)

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read.

The Facts

Plants: 4x White Widow

Age: 15 days from tap root.

Temperature: 75F-80F

Light: 400W MH

pH: 6.2-6.8

Pots: 11 Litre Pots

Medium: Plagron Bat Mix (they where transfered into this after a week in different stuff)

Humidity: Unknown

Nutrients & Additives: Only root juice every other watering so far.

Light Schedule: 18/6

Water: Tap water pHed to 6.5 and let to sit out for 24 hours


The Problem

I noticed it yesterday, very slight brown spotting on the plants. On one part of the leaf seemed to have been ripped off. Im thinking possibly a Ca def. The problem is the same on each of the plants.

Please could somebody point me in the right direction to the answer for this. I want to catch it early so i dont ruin my chances.

Thanks but i dont think its water splashing on my leaves which is causing it.

Can anybody else point me in the right direction?

Looks pretty bad, i wouldnt worry too much tbh tho. As long as ur not overwatering and only adding a little root juice every other water theres no reason why this should continue. Might be a root issue for now but they're only young so they should sort themselves out. Just make sure u're only watering when the pot is completely dry and give them a thorough soak each time. Try moving the light up a bit as well, 400 may be too intense if its too close. Don't panic tho, they'll be ok. Just stay off the nutes for now and be careful with watering! Good luck!

Just to correct what i said a little, quit with the root juice for now as well lol should be ok then, give it a couple of weeks, u'll see :D I think it's more designed for use with clones which are able to handle it straight away, new seedlings might not favour it too much.

A bit off topic but i will answer anyway.

Get a shot glass of tepid pHed water and chuck in the seeds. Leave them somewhere WARM and in complete DARKNESS until they pop. After 24 hours the seeds should have sunk, you might need to give them a little poke to make them sink.

If they do not sink it means the seeds are duds :(

I personally plant as soon as i see a tap root, imo less chance of it breaking later.

When i used this method all the seeds had popped withing 24 hours

I agree this shouldnt be happening, its something i am doing or not doing.

I will lay off the root juice cos in fairness this problem happened after i gave them a strong dose.

the light is almost 2 foot from the plants now, i moved it when the problem started just to try.

My plants are drooping a little, but i put that down to me not knowing how much water they can take yet. They have perked up a bit today but still the discolouring is still happening and spreading slowly.

I dont want to add nutes cos this bat mix is quality stuff, should have everything for the first 6 weeks.

Can anyone with experience in this problem please help.

oh ye and +rep to you guys who are trying to help. This forum works cos plp like getting love so here is some :)

It looks like a bug problem to me, I had a similar infection of leaf miners in my last outdoor gro, I suggest washing the underside of the leaves and spraying some vegetable safe insecticide around the plants. Good luck

dude,i got 6 white widows 21 days old from seed today...i had the same problem on one of my leaves,i splashed water on the leaf that contained roox complex(just a tiny splash),im running a 400w light at around 20 inches from plant and it left a scorch mark exactly like that...that is all i know :)

Can you please tell us what part of the plant this is effecting. Lower parts, middle, top, all? ... More pics would also help!

Must have been concentrated, I checked out your grow, those youngans look healthy. I'm about 5 or 6 days ahead of you. Murder in the hood, time to leave bro.
