white widow question

First of all pls excuse my English if i make any spelling mistakes. I have a question about white widow strain. A friend of mine had a grow from this strain in a homemade grow box, with average soil and nutrients, nothing expensive( and a 600 watt HPS) He didn't applied any technique on them like FIM, topping or LST. He just let the plants grow naturally. The two plants he had, made an yield of 120 grams per plant and reached almost 170 cm in height. Assuming this was a good yield, my questions are: is it better to let the WW grow naturally without applying any FIM, LST or something similar ? Or was that good yield just a product of good genetics of the seeds ? Im asking this cause im interested for my first grow on what to do. Should i crop fim or lst the plant or let it grow casual, which of these will ensure me at least 100 grams per plant ? I mention that i will have one square meter grow box and 2 meters high, so space will not be a problem for a few plants.

Cheers

With my experiences with White Widow from different seed companies is this, that strain grows rampantly on its own without training to increase its yield. Most likely it was good genetics of the seed, breeder of the strain, and the grower that led to a good yield. The most I have pulled on a single white widow plant indoors was over 6 ounces because I scrog lst the plant with a veg time of about 6 weeks in a 5 gallon soil pot.

Thank your for your answer. Cheers !

White Widow is an extremely hardy plant and can survive many different challenges. She loves nutrients, not so much on the FIM. She wont grow very tall, but she packs on SERIOUS DENSE colas covered in sugary trichomes. The beautiful thing about WW is how FAST she flowers! Mine are usually ready to harvest after 5-6 weeks. Be careful you dont let her go too long, or couch lock is a serious concern.

One more question. Is it ok to let the fan ON in the grow box during lights off period, if im having temperature or humidity problems ? Or will this confuse the plant and stress it ?

You should have air circulating at all times, even when the lights are off.

Ok I thought u had them, what breeder are u looking at? Mine are by seedsman, they are doing a good deal just now buy a 5 pack of white widow feminized get 2 free ww fem seeds. Attitude are doing this deal and you get 2 free seeds from them too so 4 free seeds.

Another question: is it oky to vegetate 4 plants with 250 watt hps and then switch to 600watt hps ( sylvania grolux) ? or should i go from first weeks with maximum lumens and watts ?

White Widow in 5-6 weeks! Is that including the first two week stretch? If it is, I'd like some of those seeds.
AK47 has been the quickest to finish flowring for me, and that was only 8 weeks...

flying dutchman have given a higher thc content than any other breeders ive read! also this quote really surprised me....."Try to turn the lights off altogether the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle- or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from re-growth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower!" WHY would u turn the lights off altogether for the last 2 weeks?? fuck that what a waste!!! i personally would want the last 2 weeks of flower growth. why not just give them 2 days of no light to stress them into the last crystal production, also would this not give mold a chance to take hold?? plz correct me if im wrong on this!
