To keep Rez water down u need to keep heat down in box. Again the hydrogaurd will allow for hotter temps. But they have chillers but they are high. I had to rig mine up Bc I use CFL and the heat and size was too much for the box so I prop the box open and use Mylar on all open areas light can escape and I put my box fan at the bottom with a frozen jug of water behind it also behind the pic fan in back of box that blows in air and it is keeping everything cool. I add my water at 55 degrees lol hasn't hurt them yet...heats up anyway...

Lmao damn.. I guess my Rez temps are going to stay just how they are. Honestly that's a big hassle for me I'm doing this very very strictly on the side in a small space in my closet. I barely even have time to clean the Rez and re-feed. Let's let the plants grow in normal temps like they were created to do, can't always be dead on perfect haha, high 70's low 80's will do it for me

70s is fine. That's why I said do hydrogaurd to allow room for error...just don't let water get over like 77. I mix my gallon and refrigerate over night and the next morning I either add or replace. I know it's a lot but once u get it it can be done fast. I open my top and pour the water out and refill with cold that way by night it won't be not hot water...

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I place a closed container of ice in the box at night to cool down to drop temp. I put the frozen gallons of water behind the bottom PC fan behind the box and then behind the box fan it's really easy and it not a close it up

Its very stealthy when not propped open lol and looks better I simply pull the mylar off at night when time to close box and it looks like a normal box

Since u are limited, hydrogaurd and chilled water when adding....u will be fine I'm sure ur room stays cool. Leds don't get as hot as cfls...u should be just fine just keep the LED far enough from buds so u don't bleach em

Yeah looks like you got it all put together look sweet. I'll definitely have to try the tray of ice cubes or frozen jug. I have absolutely no idea what my Rez water temps are... I'll have to find out this weekend. Maybe if it's above 80 I'll just top off with some cold water each morning and stir, so it won't shock plants.

I'm looking forward to tie training with some fishing line or something, but the taller plant is WAYYY to fragile at this moment, I'll have to wait another week maybe two. It can barely stand on its own believe it or not, especially because I have no clay pebbles or no other medium in there except the "rapid rooter" rock wool thing

u have to tie it at the base and lightly tug a lug and then tie opposite direction to keep it strong in place. A small fan will strengthen the branches. Give it another day but I would start the tie down soon. Look at how I first tied mine on the first page of this thread

That will keep it in place but bend it lightly the stem to prepare it I promise u it will grow back up within the hour

Okay, so I should basically get the first string, tie it around a half in from the very bottom of the stem, pull it lets say towards the door or the box, so that it's almost flat down to the lid of the rez. Tie a second string maybe an inch from the top of the plant, and pull it in the opposite direction a bit lighter so that the plant in the end is actually looking towards the light?

The part above the top string will grow towards the light creating a bonsai affect. This will take place within an hour or so. You got it right! Plus new shoots will grow towards a lot creating new colas

Just be sure to tie it in a direction where your second plant has room to grow as well because you can create a monster this way

This is the best way to get all of your light even and make canopies. If u want to scrog u can wait until about 5 nodes and top it Bc u will have to have multiple shoots starting to scrog and tuck under each square. This stuff has to be done early early

Since u have a small Rez I would just lst and supercrop. Scrog gong is too hard in a cab. It can be done but it's too hard for me

Just remember that when you Defol or if you top you're going to be adding a lot of Time to your grow. Super crop too but man is it worth it. U will want to defol when the plants get bushy...I prefer colas not airy popcorn
