Intruder attacks Nancy Pelosi's dad. Dog unhurt.

It's a good thing there isn't a web of right wing fringe media calling for attacks on democrats.

This week, a Teamster was shocked at the cost of a candy bar in the machine going from $1.00 to $1.35. "Wanna know how we stop this?" he yelled at me. "We get rid of all the Democrats. All the Democrats!".

i wonder what he had in mind. I'm sure this will end well as long as we stay civil.

Edit: the teamster was getting paid a base of $45 plus per hour and was on overtime. So an additional 30 seconds for the inflation. When he gets rid of all the Democrats, his party will ban trade unions and his wage will drop about two thirds. But at least his daughter won't have to compete against those filthy trans people for a volleyball scholarship.

A suspect has been identified in the brutal attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband at their San Francisco home.

An assailant identified as David Depape broke into the couple's home early Friday morning and "violently assaulted" the 82-year-old Paul Pelosi with a hammer, causing blunt-force trauma to his head and body, and the House speaker's husband reportedly underwent brain surgery.

The 42-year-old Depape, of Berkeley, has previously made news for taking part in nude anti-war protests in the Castro neighborhood.

The attacker tried to tie up Pelosi until his wife returned home and was asking "where is Nancy," and he allegedly told police he was waiting for the House speaker when they arrived.

“The suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it,” San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said during a press conference. “Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency backup and rendered medical aid.”

Depape will be charged with attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, burglary and other additional felonies.

Depape expressed extremist right-wing views on social media, including conspiracy theories about Covid-19, a law enforcement official told the Wall Street Journal.

A CNN analysis of his Facebook page also found meme and conspiracy theories he posted about the 2020 election and Jan. 6 insurrection, and two of his relatives said Depape was estranged from his family.

Nancy Pelosi was in Washington, D.C., at the time of the attack with her protective security detail.

The White House said President Joe Biden had called Nancy Pelosi to express his support over the "horrible attack" and was praying for her husband.

"He is... very glad that a full recovery is expected. The president continues to condemn all violence, and asks that the family's desire for privacy be respected," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

The attack comes during a tumultuous year for Pelosi's 82-year-old venture capitalist husband, who was convicted of drink driving after an accident in May and sentenced to five days in jail.

With less than two weeks to go before the crucial US midterm elections, members of both parties have sounded the alarm about the possibility of political violence.

According to the Capitol Police, threats against lawmakers have more than doubled since 2017.

According to the police briefing they responded to a wellness check not a b and e at the residence of the of pelosi with fam home?They witnessed the suspect and paul both with hammers but the suspect was close enough to pelisi to grab pauls hammer and hit him in the head with it but no shots fired from officers? Ya sorry im going with lovers quarrel turned violent.
Paul only gets in trouble when nancy isn’t around….

It sounds like a conspiracy. Thanks for being a part of the solution in shining light on these things rather than making things worse by acting like it's a conspiracy to make it look like it really happened when this guy is clearly a crisis actor and Superbowl halftime performer.

He must be one of two radical trumpers out there in berkley …..lmao . Nancies house was targeted before. Not that I believe they didn’t have the most state of the art security long long before that. The authorities show every security cam footage of every convenience store robbery and ring doorbell footage etc. lets see the film

Nope turns out the radicalized idiot brought the hammer to break into the back window. Nancy was out of town (election season) and her husband called the cops and as he was being tied up is when they were wrestling for the hammer, losing and getting bashed in the head.

There is not a spousal security detail on him, but the cops got there ASAP.

Im not saying its anything but an attack…yet. At least Not anymore than everyone already screaming it JUST HAS TO BE a trumper or even rebublican. And im aiding in conspiracy lmao. Pretty interesting that article has it all figured out and printed before the police and feds have more than a name to give us

lmao yeah because as soon as people had the dudes name reporters were not instantly deep diving all this guys social media right, calling family, knocking on neighbors doors/workplace, etc?

This is a pretty big deal. The third in line for the presidency just had her husband beaten in their own home by some radicalized domestic terrorist.

Not any harder than thinking someone could actually get into pelosi ‘s home with someone in it, miraculously( for paul) brought a hammer to a hammer fight, had the police arrive while you were bashing in someones head let alone pelosis husband and not a shot fired. It’s typically procedure in such instances

I completely understand the reporters and such immediately start the deep dive on the guy. I guess i just expect that if a reporter can get all the 411 delivered and accurately to us in hours that the frigin authorities like the fbi could do it in minutes . Surely before they debrief the country on national television so we as a society aren’t doing what we’re doing right now. I would very easily trust the fbi coming out with the info on tv over any media telling me first and thats saying something

The FBI has been weaponized - unless they are investigating Democrats.

That's a thoughtful post that shows no signs of mental illness or conspiracy theories.
