I tried building a tarp covering over one of my plants this yr as an experiment. Only problem was is that the water just ran off the top of the ground and still flooded my holes. Sooo took the tarp down. At least rain carries tons of oxygen to the roots.
Whenever I first sat my plants out and they were in 1 gal or 5 gal pots I made a make shift tent outa clear plastic cause it just wouldn't stop raining ...if I didn't they were gonna drown. ..it was clear plastic but I was scared the rays went getting to thm they way they should and they would try to flower. ..I need some actual greenhouse plastic of some kind next grow

i have to water ours twice a week and thats 2500 -3000 gallons a week at the least so far no rain here and what we do get isnt enough for shit
I'm so sorry! Yeah when I do buy my own property and put up a green house I'm going to use a rainwater drip system. I know plants can sure drink it up.

Sometimes I do then they dig themselves back in so a little bit of root is exposed. I don't mind this because as long as it doesn't get direct sunlight they are loving the oxygen. Usually they are the ones that get huge like tree roots.

The ones that turn hard and green looking ...if that's the case I'ma have some crazy looking roots...these things are fluffy white and clear from the stalk to the outside of the pot....damn I knew I would want a 300 gal pot lol...then I'll just say I want a 400...if I had the cash or the soil made to fill 6 ta 9 300 gal pots i would have...but i bought all my soil this year...it's some good shit too

While these may not be trees like everyone else's here, they are all over 2 feet tall or in length from the soil so far, In 10 gallon bags with between 8-9 gallons of soil each.

All are my own crosses with exception to the back right palm tree (full moon) with some May Night Salvia and a small lavendar.
