Who uses hood insulation?

Soooo, I run xxxls and I ordered One 6 inch cover and One 8 inch cover. I was wondering how many of you have used them. I have my hoods set up on movers w/active venting. It's gonna be a Huge pain in the ass to take all of this down just to put a blanket on em. I May just make a blanket for my other hoods out of some reflectix I have laying around.

Any thoughts or ideas?
