Who uses reverse osmosis with super soil?

Trying to post pic. Internet is slow.
PH of raw water is 7.8
Ppm is 160
Well water tested at .5 mg/l of iron
And so much manganese you can see it.
Just put plants in flower a week ago and now some seem to be on their way to lockout. And one is definitely taking it worse than others, could be the strain.

hey bro your fresh air vent is on a timer... that should be going 24/7 this is your problem right here, your getting only 12 hours a day of ventilation!
unless this is a sealed grow..

how about some specifics about your grow
CO2 injection and sealed with an a/c unit and humidity control?
Temps- 65-70 night 70-80 day
humidity %?

if your doing a sealed grow, i dont see any point in using CO2 when your plants are in soil. if using co2 u should definately use hydro to allow an oxygenated root zone and enriched co2 in the foliage zone.

with soil a sealed grow can lack oxygen to your roots is what im getting at , so maybe some details on the whole set up would help

Hey now might be onto something there. The only tI'm vents run is when it's to warm. I've got 6 lights in room 4 are vented to main room for heat in veg in it off cycle. So in effect this is a sealed room until highs reach 78 and thermostat is triggered.
We live in Maine It's cold AF outside right now and lights are only heat source. Except in flower I have a heat pump for lights off. Which is actually day, because tryin to pump heat with the nighttime lows well below zero is innefcient. = expensive. So I run day cycle at night.
As far as Temps / humidity in flower are pretty good. Temps 68.9 82.6. Humidity 32 to 48. Super soil grow. Except added insect frass to subs most recent recipe

Actually, you don't need to run it at night (lights off). I don't anymore. Stomata are closed at night. So really no need for gas exchange. Just make sure you have a dehumidifier and your circulating fans on still and no issues at all.

It's kinda hard to tell from the pic, but the soil looks dry to me? Especially this time of year with the humidity so low. consistent moisture is key for living soils. no wet/dry cycles. find a happy medium between wet and dry and keep it there all the time.

I have definitely been upping the water but maybe not enuff. 1 gal everday maybe not enough for a 10 gal pot. I don't like wate ring so much the tray is wet for a day or two. That might be the issue.
This issue (twisted leaves) always happens as soon as I go in flower, and I'm kicking on co2. 8x9x16 room run co2 I don't run co2 in veg .I'll post pic of flower vs veg. Might be tomorrow.

So to continue. My 8x9x15 room I have co2 cick on for 5 min every half hr. I have an old green air unit most younger growers may not recognize.
So I don't think it is water or the sympyom would start showing up there first.

that sounds about right. you should get a mulch on that soil though. you'll slow down the evaporation and improve your watering habits.

you should avoid run off at all cost with living amended soils. you leach nutrients and flush microbes out of your pot. no bueno. try watering more slowly to give the water time to be absorbed by the soil. you should also not leave water in the drip tray as you're promoting anaerobic conditions in the bottom of the pot.

These are veg. A little light green in middle. But no weird twist till I get in flower. I was trying to say that in last post. Didn't finish thought before I posted.

Right on. Maybe peel is having a bad day or is a .....
ShLUbY, when I first saw your response I thought you were reporting me cause I was missing some obvious point.
Super soil is a term I use to let people know what we are working with so they can give better advice. I have followed recipe to the letter.
Did a soil pH test using distilled water to mix with soil, and most affected plant in flow ph'd at 5.8 Other less curled plant in flow is 6.3. this is soil in top of plant pot. It comes from about 5 inches below surface. At that level it is roots organic original. And not the heavily amended super soil.

Nizza, How do I make sure that in between venting that the plants don't run to low on co2? I have a co2 controler but dosent register below 500 ppm. Or do I leave vent and fan on and just turned down with a speed controler? If I left it on full speed all the time it would be to cold. As it warms up I run fan full time.
