It reads like your telling him to make qw out of his duff. I think what you meant was make some qw from small amounts of regular bud and use that for edibles or weed pills?
With the small amount the he smokes.. and correct me if I'm wrong but his budget is pretty low and prices for him are high... I just don't see him using any hash as a viable option.
OP... The suggestion to make oil for edibles(you can use almost any fat, I like coconut oil) out of your duff is a somewhat popular solution for people that vape flowers. To paraphrase Weeds, you are getting all harsh and no high out of taking a lighter to your duff in a bowl. So, save that shit up, in a ziplock or a jar or something till you have an oz, then you can cook it down into like 1/2 cup of oil and bake some awesome brownies or something. And if you wash(a process) your oil/butter, whatever you cook with it will not taste like shit.
Before graduating to a Med state I was big into vaping flowers in my volcano, making keif hash, and cooking edibles... I consider most of this useless now that I live in Co but I have an old website about cannabutter/oil here:

Make hash first, most efficient way...but you could boil in coconut oil if your lame...so make some qwiso and put on double boiler decarbing it precisely....once the carboxyl group is gone there are no more boubles..slowly dissolve hot coconut oil into it until saturated..when it cools its a solid, so put it in capsules 00 size, while warm....
Most efficient way to decarb and accurately dose while making the most use of small amounts......

It may seem like a lot..and it is, edibles kinda waste but the high lasts a lot longer so it kinda works out ..and it is a different high..delta 9 is converted to 11..
Yeah i've made brownies before with a crockpot and oil. Edibles take you to outerspace man, you just use so much cooking them and then poof, all your edibles are gone.
So you think I can use a gram of duff to make some has with iso? That'd be super cool cause I have about that now. I'll get some gear next payday and just make my AVB into hash.
So far with the vape it starts good but I only get four or five hits before it turns gross and cashed. Frugal thing that I am, I smoke it til It stops or I cant handle it anymore lol.
