i'm confused.
i've made a few batches of coconut cannabis caps. i posted some info in the magical butter thread.
in 8 months or so i never had a capsule leak or melt. once in awhile some caps would feel a bit moist but they didn't stick together and my fingers wouldn't be oily when i picked them up.
the temps in my home haven't been lower in months, and all of a sudden, i have capsules, from my last batch of oil that are wet. some leaked almost all of the oil out and the others are really soft. fortunately it was only 10 capsules but it's a mess.
i kept the leaky bottle of capsules in the same place as i kept 2 other bottles with capsules from different batches and they are fine. dry and firm. i keep them in a cupboard and they are never in direct sunshine.
i put the soft, leaky caps back in the fridge. yesterday, i put some of the caps that were already in the fridge into the cupboard. it's 12 hours later and they have started to get wet and one leaked a tiny bit. this is so odd. the capsules in the other 2 bottles are dry and firm. the bottles are less than 1/2 full so they aren't too crowded. the only difference in these caps and all the others is the genetic. the other 2 genetics were sativa dominant and this last batch was an indica dominant.
the coconut oil was a few months older but it looked and smelled fine. same amount of lecithin, same batch of 00 capsules. same time and temp in the MB2 machine.
i am really confused. why would these caps leak and the caps right next to them not?
i have a bunch still not in capsules. i'll have to remember to take them out of the fridge the night before when i'm in the mood to take some. or are these things ok to take when they are hard from the fridge or freezer. these capsules will not travel well at all which creates a whole new problem.
i'll have to try this stuff sublingually like it was a tincture. it should work right? 4 capsules get me right where i like to be so it wouldn't be too much to take.
any ideas why this leaking is happening just for my last batch of oil and not the others?
