Why are nutes so costly?

I'd love to hold my tounge, yet if something was said to you.... Try look at this from another angle, as a parent, an adult, some1 with morals, values , some1 who is new to this site and is on here for a genuine learning experience. Some1 who does not use the power of hiding behind a screen to purposely show ignorance, to do and say as they please because its not real life.... To have been told what "milie" said in the context he said it, in reply to my o.p. (rant) Maybe I'm being a lil over-sensitive, yet if some1 tells you piss in your kids bottle if ya can't afford milk! Maybe I'm just on the wrong site then.... As I believe in maturity, self-respect and regardless of being just a "handle" on the internet, we should all still carry ourselves with a level of dignity....

Jacks has hydroponics nutes as well. And they're cheap and complete. I'm using Jacks Pro Hydroponics 5-12-26 and Calcium Nitrate as a two part nute. It's working really well so far, although I just flipped into flower this week. The nutes only cost about $12 bucks if I remember correctly and will be more than enough for this grow. Shipping cost as much or more than the nutes. Jacks has a bunch of different nute lines. You can order directly from their website.
 
skip the hyped products. I'm using dynagro bloom, dynagro grow, Protekt, Dynagrow KLN and calmag (my own home brew). Dynagrow grow and bloom with Protekt are COMPLETE fertilizers with ALL plant macro and micronutrients. I suggest reading the labels of any others and see how many of them actually have ALL elements used by plants.

when its in balance less is more ...
 
Not sure where your located but I live in Ontario and have access to a comany called highgrow that bottles for a number of companies. it cost $20 for 2 gallon jugs of A and B. I have done 4 grows (so not many LOL) in hydro. I've done 2 with PH perfect and 2 with the cheap stuff and could not notice a big difference in quantity or quality with the ph perfect costing 4 times as much. I feel you pain. And if your running a daycare meds could be important lol. Good luck with your search for a cheaper alternative!
 
There is no need to use anything beyond the base nutes and PH adjusters. Exotic supplements are largely snake oil.

If you are tired of getting ripped off by hydro companies, make your own fertilizer. It's easy and super cheap. $5 - $7 a gallon and it's cleaner than hydro store bought fertilizer because you dont need to put stabilizers and coloring agents into it.

Thousand islands region lol. Halfway between Toronto and Montreal and they will ship I believe. Look em up! The stuff seems to work ok for $20 for almost a years worth.
 
Oh no. I'm not recommending them lol. I dont want you to use them and all your plants die lol, they work for me is all. But good luck with your search, I spent a bit before I stopped believing all the crap the guys at the store try to load on ya.
 
Having used Fox Farms and GH nutes I've switched to Dyna Grow. DG is the best. Works great & low cost. I've been running DG Foliage Pro only during this grow and my plants have never looked so good...buds and all. Simple and easy.

Dont bother with all those bullshit multi-part nutes in pretty packages. Waste of time and money.
