why are the leaves curling on this seedling?

Probably because you cut them during a time where they need the most energy during topping. Why did you cut the leaf tips?
 
i agree with trippyhippi ,i dont understand the method of chopping half the leaf off ,maybe someone can tell me i see it all the time
 
only time I hack a leaf is during the clone process. in grow, I pinch um off if any discoloration appears., let her suck from the root til it reproduces
 
cutting leaves for cloning I can see, but yeah it's cause you cut them when topping, it will grow back be patient. Top at node points, leave all fans alone when topping it needs all the light energy it can get. MD
