There are some really smart and influential atheists, and then there are ignorant atheists who criticize religion out of anger or their personal view on religion being irrational. I understand most of you guys on this forum are not religious, but to tell people they're wrong with whole belief is just ignorant. What if in the end the notion behind Islam and other religions is right and you're wrong? Prove me and the billions of other religious people wrong through science. Everything is a theory nowadays.

The word that is used most often in the Quran is "knowledge." Through knowledge man will come to understand existence. The Quran has scientific information and revelations that have left me speechless. Research the proofs in the Quran, proofs that were unheard of 1400 years ago, and even through this century, for example:

How much effort have you put into squelching Islamic extremism? Do you speak out in the mosque as boldly as you

I`m half Turkish by blood, and I speak the language fluently. I find it hard to respect Islam, its a very egocentric religion... compared to say yogic beliefs.

When I was at school, I got hit many times for not listening in religious education classes, had em for 3 years. I got my ear clicked each time I couldn`t say a prayer, by a "teacher" who was a imam out of a mosque. I know those prayers by heart. Fatiha suresi, kevser suresi, ihlas suresi... How do I still remember them I don`t know, but I could sing them any day mashed or smashed

My point is, that islam was forced over me. Its forced over many others. It has strict punishments, and fanatic belivers, who will KILL a woman for having an affair with a man, because the affair is illegal.... While KILLING is illegal in that book too.

I mean if a kid is not particularly interested in religion, and you shove a book infront of them... Thats kinda leading. But if your using physical force on them *for the greater good of your religion* also, then thats fucked up. I don`t respect that shit. They never respected ME so they can FUCK OFF! I`ll bash them all I want and will always be against religion. Nobody needs an imaginary father to sort them owt in bad times. Be your own and leave your mind open.

Muslims want respect? As far as I`m concerned muslims make for some honest and kind people, brave too. The rest is a mess I would associate with them as less as possible. Its like their thoughts are held in a vice grip!! I would just say the wrong shit to them in a dialog anyways.

I'm what's labeled a practising catholic. last church i went to was episcopal and i couldn't tell the fucking difference, when i eventually found the church i didn't have a clue what i was doing rituals and all that, singing hymns. Priest basically informed us what a bunch of cunts we are then passed around his basket for some money. there's gotto be a meme in there somewhere.

I thought this would add a little more debate. I grow marijuan now because i was a framer in Wa. state for 25 years. See thats the thing, religions cover everything to do with people getting on with each other perfectly. Look at Turkey, they kill people for having affairs without being married. Killing is a sin, the affair is a sin etc... Not followed correctly.

At the end of the day I can`t judge Islam, I judge Islamic fanatics... Problem is there are plenty of them mofo`s... They stopped Ataturk trying to convert Arabic language prayers (sang out the mosque) into Turkish language. I know so many prayers by heart, but I have absolutely no idea what they mean. Thats pretty bad IMO. Blind following no good but thats what they wanted.
