Why can't all these seedbanks have better pictures? Doesn't it make sense that the breeders of seeds as well as the seedbanks would want to provide lot's of high-res detailed pics of the plants their seeds produce? The only reason I can come up with is that they don't want to give the grower false expectations.
A breeder would probably be growing the plant in ideal conditions. While there are many people out there growing in "ideal" conditions, many people are little more than ghetto growers. When they see pics of a plant with ginormous resin oozing buds, that's probably what they'll expect. When it doesn't happen, they'll say the strain sucks. I suppose by only providing a close up pic of a flower gives the grower an idea of what the flowers themselves will look like and not give the customer/grower a false expectation of yield, resin production, an so on.
What do you guys think? If the pics were available to the website owners, surely they would provide them, since adding them to a website isn't rocket science. It has to be the fault of the breeders simply not providing them.
Look at Newegg. They have TONS of pictures for everything they sell. And that's the reason they sell more than anybody. Aside from probably their quick shipping times. In the case of these seedbanks, every one of them has the same old single pic for each strain.
On the other hand, you can always search forums like this one, but that's a hassle.
