Why clone only strains can not be selfed?

For example if there is Feminized White Widow or Ak47 why there is not Feminized (Clone only) East Coast Sour Diesel?
Why people dont use Colloidal silver spray or whatever, for Clone only strains?
Or it`s just me being way off at this moment and it`s about clone being special and her children won`t be that cool and special like mom?

They can, but the whole idea of a clone-only strain is that it is a particular phenotype that someone has identified and worked with enough to where it has been tested and labeled an "elite." If you self a plant the seeds you get out of it are not necessarily going to be indicative of the parent plants at all, and you almost certainly will not get the exact same phenotype from the resulting progeny without a ton of searching.

I'm sure someone with a more robust understanding of breeding can give you more info as well.

Very interesting and thinking about it, I would have to agree. Sure you can breed it over and over to attempt to isolate the best traits and give it a better chance of being as good as. But at the end of the day just because a Michael Jordan has a son doesn't mean he will be as great a basketball player.

I really know nothing. Just makes sense.
