my plant has been doing real well just got preflowers. now i go to my mates house to see him and his grow, he has bout a 100 plants.
i tell him all about my plant and how the bottom shoots are growing fast and how its on the 9th node. all is good,
he tells me to chop the bottom branches as they make very little bud in comparison to what u get from the top, he always bends his tops to make loads of little buds. and looking at his crop i am keen to do as he says. now i have done it i wish i hadnt,
yeah i have 4 new cuttings but my plant looks bare and has slowed down

what do you guys think to this have i done good. i now realise my mate does this to get more plants into his area but i dont need to as i have loads of room oh poo.

And the answer is two fold....
1. If it aint broke, dont fix it
2. Stop trying to be like someone else. You were doing great on your own :hump:

what do u think is the best course of action as they have just gone 12,12 the day i chopped em should i turn the lights back to 20.4 or just carry on

I just did a grow where I fooled around with a few things. I normally just let the plants grow naturally and feed normally. This time around, I topped one plant, fed a flower hardener to a few others and let the rest grow normally.
Honestly, they all have their own looks, but as far as yield goes, it all is about the same. The ones with the flower hardner definately, I say definately made the buds slammed packed together and hard and sticky :hump:

i would have left them. that is buds man on them branches. if they are not firm enough when you harvest then after you cut your big buds off then let the lowwers go a couple weeks longer. they willfirm up. goodluck
