Why do my clones keep failing???

I have a 10 sight x- stream propagator, I put 5 litres of water in the bottom which just covers the aquatic water heater helping create humidity, a 72w fluorescent light, I keep the vents closed and mist a few times a day, I don't use the so called "misting" thing as it saturates the little root riot cube, I use clonex and have followed all advice, I.e. Diagonal cut, scape away some outer tissue, not sure on inside dome temps though condensation is always present, really confused, my bro has had 99% success, same set up, yet I've now thrown away 20cuttings and now on to another ten started today. This is sapping my confidence and really pissing me off! My bro has them all rooted in 4 days! Same plant! Each time I've waited over a week then pulled one to see, low and behold, fuck all! No sign of even a little bit like they tried! But then they still stood up. Any ideas? My little potted mother has taken a hammering, thank god one out of 20 did root, which twists my head further, so it looks like she'll be the new mum.

Don't get pissed man! I ran clones for a few years in rapid rooters and had close to %100 success! I switched to a "ezcloner" and fucked three straight batches of clones! LOL tossed the ez-cloner and went back to rapid rooters. In that short time I learned that your res temp if fucking impairative, check your PH of your water, and keep it simple and clean. What kind of water you using tap, distilled etc?

What's up with your buddy? You said he runs same setup and plants as you're trying and he has 100% so have him come over and un-fuck your situation! That is your best bet, I am sure he has been over but there is something you guys are missing! What is different between what he does and what you do? There has to be something! How far away does your buddy live from you? If it is different state or pretty far away the weather/water may have something to do with it?
