They're just busting your balls. You can feed and water in many ways to get great results. The feeding frequency's all about how strong the actual feed is. It's tedious to mix nutrients compared to just filling a jug of water as an example. In soil that is, hydro is a different ball game.

Container size is completely relevant. Plants in 100+ gallons of soil need a different feed schedule than a plant in 3 gallons of coco that needs to be fed 3x a day. Thats why I ended my post with its best to learn to read your own plants, instead of listening to some stupid forum rule like "feed, water, water" and thinking that applies to every situation.
