oh ok. well im going to build one box bout 6 to 6.5 ft tall bout 6ft wide by bout 3 ft out and put a divider in it on side for veg one side for flower. oh and any suggestions on my lighting i got that cheap reflector store guy says my 400 going to put out alot of heat and was trying to sell me on the $150 reflec..i think i'll eventually buy it but any way to keep down heat on my lil reflec..i got now it's just that alum one that covers the top of the light!!

i my self have a 1000 wtt hps ballast and a lot of the time i well run my 1000 wtt mh bulb in it and run in my veg. room w/ it on for 24 hrs a day.w/ no problems. so if peeps say u need this bulb for that ballast thats bull, however you CAN NOT run a hps buls in a mh ballast

i dont use a reflecto in my veg. room and my bulb hangs vertical. i do use one in my flower room
well im thinking it should fit about 4 plants see my thing is i wanna grow tall so i can get good yield..whats the max you think i could get off 4 tall plants under 1000w?? cause im seeing alot of posts where people are only getting 2oz maybe 3 out of like 2 plants and im like hell no i want to play in the pound arena if im going to devote my precious time off 4 plants bout 5ft i would like to get atleast 2 pounds but maybe im just a wishful beginner what do you think???

If you put any bulb less than 1kw in a 1kw ballast, the bulb will explode surely?

i grow tall plants myself. i veg mine till they r 3 ft tall, then its off to the flower room6 plants at a time. at the end of flowering my plants r 7 ft tall and have been getting a little over 6 oz dried off i plant. my veg time to get 3 ft tall, is 60 days, and another 7 8 weeks in flower

no i just sterted oct. of 07 this is my 5 th indoor and i got i outdoor under my belt. woopie ha, lol im no pro this is just from my exp. just read allot and tweaked a lot of things. see i have a percription and what i have found out about growing, is if u can grow freely and not wotty about the law then most of that oldschool shit can be throwen out tne window. for exap. my windows are open lights are bright no worriing on heat or venalation

lots of dif. growing methods out their. i just go what works for my setup, remember that no room is the same, so keep an eye on your temps. and hum.and once that is under control, then it nothenbut a good time. good luck
lol are you saying that a 12 hours flower cycle uses more electric than an 18 hour veg cycle with the same wattage of lights. mate you must be stoned as thats simply not true.. funny though

think about it every time that ballast is coming on and warming up it is useing more power then a light that is on 24 hrs or a light that come on every 18hrs. just a fact

If its only coming on once, than it HAS to be using less power than an 18/6 cycle because the light still goes out once and come on once, but stays on for 6 hours longer??? how are you really going to say that uses less power than only coming on once and running for 12 hours... it don't add up man.
