If it's lab grade plastic I think it's supposed to be ok. But search around google for thc binding to plastic.

yeah the reason for glass is basically that it's a neutral medium, the chemical make up of many plastics and metals as well just doesn't lend them well to the job. If are having a hard time finding something
get a huge family sized container of jelly or something and was it out really well.
It most likely will still have a slight hint of the jelly smell no matter how well you clean it but it will do.
Just make absolutely sure it's 100% dry before putting the herb in it.

i have heard that trichromes 'bind' to plastic containers more than glass so more keif gets stuck in the jar...just something i heard though, don't know if its for real.

I would have to agree totally. If you get a bigger bag that's got a lot of trichs in it you can see a lot of them stuck to the plastic bag. When you use small baby food jar or something similar most of that keif just sits in the bottom.

Glass is an inert medium
it does not react easily with other substances
it also does not impart any taste or scent on to your buds
that would be the same reason chemists can store hydroflouric acid which would usually eat through soft metals, in glass jars.
hope that explains it

One thing you can do that will clean the glass really well is using some rubbing alcohol and salt and shaking the jelly jar around for about 30 seconds...should do the trick just rinse the jar until you don't smell alcohol anymore
