Why has the good smell left my herb?

I have some plants that are coming right along and for some reason the good smell that they have while they're growing disapates after only about a day. I had a hermie that I chopped about a month ago, it was all chrystallized and smelled great but after a day or so, it quit smelling at all, well it smells like regular grass. And it was pretty stoney at first but seems to have lost its stone. I have to smoke a lot for it to get me high anymore.

Two days ago i took a lower branch off of another plant just to try it. It smells strong and is very chrystallized also (even more so than the hermie was). When i checked on it this morning the smell is gone, it smells like grass too.

I'm feeding indonesian bat guano and molassis. My plants are looking and smelling real good but im afraid that when I harvest, the smell and stone will leave.
Any ideas?
Am I doing something wrong?
Or maybe not doing something I should?
Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I truly appreciate any feedback!!!:leaf:

did you let it completely dry? sounds like you might not have by the timeframes you suggested. a lot of it smells grassy when still wet after chop

The hermie is certainly dried, and the lower branch i just took , i just put in a zip lock after it dried enough that the stem kind of snapped. I think it will moisten again ina day or so, then ill let it airout again, then bag again once it feels dry again.

when do you think the aroma will return?

You have to go through a curing process to get rid of the "fresh-cut lawn" smell and taste.

Thanks for the replies....

How long would you estimate until it returns?

Im concerned because the hermie i cut a month ago still smells like lawn grass. All i did was like i said above.
1-Dry till the stem cracks.
2-Put in a zip lock until it feels moist again.
3-Take it back out until the buds feel a bit dry on the outside little bud leaves.
4-Put back in the zip lock and keep it sealed up, ( maybe jars would be better?).
5- Check on it every day to esure its not too moist.
6-If too moist, open the bag to air out.
7- Continue the process.

Im pretty sure this process is legit. Please send your thoughts...
