why is this??

hey there u lot.my plants seem to be doing really well,they are all clones i took from a plant bout 5wks ago.i have 6 of them and their just over a ft in height and have 18h of light.i havnt yet switched the light cycle to trigger flowering because im letting them get abit taller.im pretty sure they are all females as the plant they came from was.yesterday i noticed 1 of them now has tiny hairs comming from the nodes closest to the stem.they look frosty like.im new to this and im no expert but from what i can gather its telling me she's female and shower signs of fowering,am i right in saying that?how could this be if havnt switched the light?will the others follow?and finally,what should i do next?many thanks.

those are preflowers.....some strains show as they mature.....but u wont get ur buds till u flower them

yeah depends on the strain, alot of plants will show preflowers when they get about 1ft tall

Bang them on 12/12off don't think just because a plant is huge it will produce more a foot is about the right height to get a good yeild.That is unless you are doing a medi grow and have loads of light to give the plant light from every direction but if you only have the one or two light and a couple of plants then start flowering now and give the plant a extra week for more crystal formation.If the internode's are nice and tight then with flowering the plant should end up been around 3 ft but giveing you dence nugs from the bottom up.Plant's normaly doble in size during the first two weeks of flowering so you should end up with a nice yeild.

thank you for your reply,u said to change the light to 12/12,would i need to change the light spectrum too or could i carry on with the veg spec bulb im using at the moment?cheers tyke1973.
